Within the framework of the conference on investment attraction and logistics services in the Mekong Delta was jointly organized by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Southwest Region Steering Committee on January 9 in Can Tho City, Deputy Prime Minister Vuong Dinh Hue directly visited the Mekong Logistics Center Project (located in Song Hau Industrial Zone, Hau Giang Province). This is one of the key projects of Gemadept Corporation in 2016.

 

The first phase of the project is the cold distribution center which officially came into operation in the third quarter of 2016 with 47,200 pallets/year. From now to quarter I of 2019, other phases such as warehouse, container port, etc will be completed and put into operation in turn. 

Located in the Mekong Delta - the region has the advantage of developing logistics services of Vietnam, Mekong Logistics project has received great attention from the authorities. In the Investment Conference, Deputy Prime Minister concluded that there will be strong and appropriate solutions to support the logistics enterprises, promote the development of the logistics service, and create a firm foundation for the national economic development and the Mekong Delta in the period of 2016-2020.
