Vietnam Logistics Research and Development Institute (VLI) and 11 universities in Ho Chi Minh City, 18 member companies VLA signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement connected supply and demand in Logistics resources to serve the development of Logistics industry in Vietnam. On the morning of October 20, 1818, VLI cooperated with Gemadept Corporation (Gemadept Corporation) to organize a study tour at Gemadept Logistics’s Distribution Center (GMD) - Lot J1, Road No.8, Song Than 1 Industrial Park, Binh Duong.
The tour was attended by teachers from universities, colleges in the city such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Transportation, Foreign Trade University, Hoa Sen University, Nguyen Tat Thanh University, HUTECH, HCMC University of Economics, University of Economics, RMIT University, Vietnam Aviation Academy, University of Technical Education, College of Finance, College of Information Technology and especially FIATA students.
The delegation was welcomed by Ms. Nguyen Vu Dan Khuyen - Deputy Manager of Business Solutions and Mr. Do Van Dan – DC Manager of Gemadept Logistics. The contents was focused on the inventory management process, the warehouse management system, the way of arranging goods in the warehouse, the organization model other services in warehouse.
With the role is both a lecturer and a manager of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha - Vice Director of Foreign Trade University in Ho Chi Minh City said: “First time joining the program with VLI connected to enterprise is a very meaningful activity for Lecturers. Through this activity, Lecturers will have more information to deliver the actual content of the lectures so that students can grasp the practical knowledge beyond graduation, students can work for and immediately reduce the pressure on the training of the business. Ms. Ha hopes VLI will continue to have many other practical activities not only to visit the warehouse but also to visit the port and other activities related to the logistics chain”
